5 small changes you can make in your DIET to lose weight
Starting a health and fitness journey is no easy task. It is easy to lose track of our goals and give in to various temptations. To keep yourself on track in your diet you should keep the following tips in mind:
1. STOP buying unhealthy snacks
It is definitely a difficult task if you have a habit of reaching for a bag of chips while watching TV or eating cookies and cakes every chance you get. The easiest way you will not eat these “unhealthy” snacks is if you don’t buy them at all. Trust me. Clean your house of unhealthy snacks and resist the temptation to buy them. You will see what difference this little step can make.
2. DO NOT shop when hungry
If you are so hungry that you could eat a truckload of food, you probably will. Eat something before you go grocery shopping or you will end up buying unhealthy/sugary/fatty food that you don’t need. And you will probably end up eating half of it in your car. So, keep in mind to grab a healthy snack before you shop.
3. Ditch the bubbles
Yes, you heard it right. You gotta ditch the carbonated drinks. They are very high in sugar and not good for your health. And don’t be fooled by the “diet” version. Artificial sweeteners are no better for you. Drink water instead.
4. Chew your food
This one is a no-brainer. Our daily lives have become so fast-paced that we have forgotten how to sit down and enjoy our food. Switch off electronic devices or keep them in a separate room. Eat your food slowly and chew at least 20 times before swallowing. You will eat less and be full sooner. Try it.
5. Go Green
Start drinking green tea without sugar instead of normal tea and coffee with added sugar. Green tea has many benefits and making this small change will help you in being a little more healthy.
