Sources of Protein for Vegetarians!
Vegetarians have a whole lot of option from which they can choose from where some of them include
- Beans and its products
- Nuts and its products
- Soy products
- Dairy products
- And even green veggies.
Beans
Beans contain large amount of protein, they are considerably classified into different types of beans which are namely, Black beans, white beans, pinto beans etc. So, beans and its products have a high range of quantity of protein present.
Nuts
Since all nuts contain healthy fats and proteins, they are preferred as food with high protein value, but also they are high in calories in nuts like almonds, cashews etc. , but you have to avoid hydrogenated oils as well sugar based food.
Soy products
Soy products have the highest amount of protein which can be found in all vegetarian food altogether. It is then followed by seitan and legumes. Soy is mainly used as a meat substitute in most of the foods prepared such as soy burgers as well as soy hot dogs.
Dairy products
Dairy products consumption can be a little over the edge for people who are vegan but for the rest of the population. We all grew up knowing the fact to drink our milk and have dairy products as they are essential part of our diet. It is no exemption now. Vegetarians can consume dairy products and break the myth that they lack protein.
Green Vegetables
Green vegetables as we know is not just enriched in proteins, it has a great amount of nutritious food which help us prevent a lot of diseases and provide us good and balanced diet. They can be used in many numbers of ways, they can be added into our diet during different intervals of our meals.
